The Consortium is seeking a Thought Leadership Communications Strategist to develop and execute strategic communications elevating research. The role advises the VP, translating complex work into compelling narratives to drive engagement.

Working across Research, Programs, Marketing and Communications, the strategist will craft integrated plans, audience-focused messaging, and scalable frameworks to amplify influence and reach key audiences. Onsite in Washington, DC.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years in strategic communications or related field.
• Ability to translate complex research into clear narratives.
• Excellent writing, messaging, and storytelling skills.
• Experience with nonprofit or mission-driven organizations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee strategic plans to promote thought leadership initiatives (10-12 annually).
• Create messaging architecture and storytelling strategies for complex topics.
• Align stakeholders across foundation and enterprise through cross-functional collaboration.
• Build playbooks and measurement approaches to improve consistency and impact.
