Job summary

VERSANT Media seeks a DC Coordinator to support the DC Bureau Chief, Deputy Bureau Chief and the operational needs of the DC newsgathering team. You will be a key player in launching MS NOW’s Newsgathering operation, embracing a start‑up mindset and taking on projects that grow with the bureau.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least 2 years experience in television production.
• Willing and able to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays and overnights under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Perform general administrative duties (answering telephones, scheduling meetings, filing, planning travel, submitting expenses).
• Prepare and update correspondence, reports, and documents using Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Assist on ad hoc projects and other duties assigned by supervisors.
• Maintain knowledge of current news events.
• Organize visits with government officials, newsmakers, and media partners.
• Support research and editorial projects and operational needs.
