Job summary

NewsNation is seeking a Washington, DC bureau producer to coordinate daily coverage of the federal government, the White House and Congress, and general regional news. The role collaborates with network correspondents to provide cross-platform coverage from the DC bureau.

The position requires 1–2 years of production experience and a Bachelor’s in Communications/Journalism. Duties include researching, scripting, field shoots, and serving as a conduit between field teams and the assignment desk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications/Journalism or related field.
• 1–2 years broadcast or digital production experience.
• Background in reporting, research and writing.
• Willing to work overtime, nights, holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily coverage of the federal government, White House and Congress.
• Generate timely, unique story and guest ideas for broadcast and digital platforms.
• Fully report stories from briefings, conferences, events and statements.
• Tailor reporting to explain complex topics across platforms.
