Job summary

Nexstar Media Group, Inc. seeks a Content Producer for the Washington, DC Bureau to develop, produce, and distribute news content across broadcast, digital, and streaming platforms.

The role collaborates with executives, reporters, and engineers to deliver live streaming, news gathering, video editing, and daily coverage coordinating with Nexstar stations and NewsNation/The Hill. The position requires in-office work one block from the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field, or equivalent work experience
• 2–5 years in political, government, or broadcast/digital news
• Prior experience in news producing required
• Strong writing, editing, and communication skills
• Familiarity with live streaming and CTV production preferred

Responsibilities

• Produces live and recorded streaming content for daily programs
• Maintains daily event schedules and tracks news developments
• Routes live feeds, ingests video, and distributes content
• Writes and edits scripts for broadcast, digital, and CTV platforms
• Edits video for voices, stories, and packages for long-form content
• Develops enterprise story ideas and pitches local content
• Coordinates interviews with lawmakers and other newsmakers
• Publishes content across websites, apps, CTV, and social media
