Job summary

REI Co-op is seeking a DC Mechanic I to keep our distribution center running smoothly by maintaining and repairing equipment, and documenting upkeep.

You will handle preventive maintenance on conveyors, scales and related gear, coordinate with supervisors and vendors, and support building maintenance as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of journey-level experience as an industrial mechanic, electrician, conveyor installer or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair DC equipment including conveyors, scales, and pallet jacks.
• Document repairs, maintenance dates, parts, and costs.
• Coordinate with DC supervisors, vendors and contractors for services.
• Manage parts inventory and assist with purchasing.
• Provide back-up for building maintenance and basic carpentry/ janitorial tasks.
• Serve on committees to represent department interests.
