Job description

Perform proper handling of incoming products to ensure accurate and available inventory. Follow all tasks according to best practice procedures.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  1. Maintain safety standards while operating equipment; identify unsafe practices and situations.
  2. Unload merchandise from trailers, containers, and trucks.
  3. Match skid or box counts to Proof of Delivery documentation, noting discrepancies.
  4. Place skids in assigned locations near the dock, remove packing lists, document vendor compliance issues, and handle parts as needed.
  5. Receive products on assigned batches, stock from vendors, store returns, warehouse transfers, UPS, or other small packages.
  6. Store products in various locations, from floor level to 72 inches high, using appropriate powered equipment for higher racking.
  7. Research discrepancies, confirm corrections, and close batches to release products to inventory.
  8. Follow instructions to retrieve and replace products from reserve locations, with or without power equipment.
  9. Train team members as designated, ensuring training is scheduled, documented, and effective. Communicate job duties and procedural changes clearly.
  10. Perform all other duties as assigned.
SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Required:

  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to pass a company-standardized test
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Ability to quickly and accurately read and match numerical and alphabetical characters

Desired:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience in warehouse environment, particularly with alphanumeric or RF-directed stocking
  • Familiarity with automotive parts
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish
