DC Materials Handler - Outbound

Location and Job Details

Job Responsibilities

1. Perform outbound functions such as loading, picking, or packing orders for shipment, following proper procedures using DC-WMS or paper systems.
2. Locate and pull merchandise by matching item codes and numbers, stage items appropriately, and label totes correctly, ensuring weight does not exceed 60 lbs.
3. Maintain accuracy and productivity standards in order picking and packing.
4. Itemize products not shipped in totes, ensure freight bills are accurate and include hazardous materials when applicable.
5. Operate handheld computers (RF units) and voice picking equipment.
6. Check loaded items against freight bills for accuracy, load trucks efficiently, and secure freight properly.
7. Keep picking zones stocked, repair totes as needed, and manage printers and labels by zone.
8. Operate outbound equipment and keep the work area clean and organized.
9. Trainers will oversee the DC training program, ensuring all training and documentation are completed, and assist in onboarding new team members.
10. Adhere to safety standards and report unsafe practices.
11. Perform any other duties as assigned.

Skills, Education, and Experience

Required:

• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to quickly and accurately read and match numbers and letters
• Strong mathematical skills
