Job summary

Ollie’s Bargain Outlet, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to perform maintenance and repair in our distribution centers.

You will troubleshoot equipment, conduct preventative maintenance on conveyors and forklifts, and complete repairs to keep operations running smoothly. Ideal candidates have 3+ years of mechanical experience in distribution/manufacturing, basic electrical skills, and the ability to work safely at height with appropriate PPE.

Qualifications

Must be able to operate all equipment necessary to perform the role, including pallet jacks and forklifts.
Ability to work independently and self-motivated to seek work.
Follow material handling equipment safe operating procedures.
Complete assignments in time allotted.
Work a flexible schedule until work is done.
Work regularly at a maximum height of four flights of stairs.
Operate a cherry picker and/or scissor lift at heights up to 36 feet while tethered.
3+ years of progressive mechanical aptitude in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Experience with 120VAC-480VAC electrical components and 24VDC systems.
Knowledge of common distribution center electrical and mechanical systems.
Experience using hand tools, measuring tools, drills, grinders, saws, multimeter, tachometer, welder.

Responsibilities

Perform troubleshooting on equipment/machinery as issues arise in the distribution center and make necessary repairs based on conclusions.
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on mechanical material handling equipment, including transportation conveyors, sortation systems, and forklifts.
Perform emergency mechanical repairs to failed material handling systems.
Basic electrical troubleshooting.
Perform maintenance projects on conveyor systems.
Perform repair of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Identify and locate required repair parts for failed systems.
Assist Maintenance Tech II and Maintenance Tech III associates on projects and troubleshooting.
