Overall Job Summary
A Maintenance Technician I is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining powered equipment, facilities, and grounds to ensure a safe and productive work environment for all team members, vendors, and visitors.

Shift: 10B Tuesday-Friday 4:30PM-2:30AM

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)

  1. Provide prompt, professional service to internal customers to meet business needs regarding assets and ensure a safe working environment.
  2. Record all time and parts into the CMMS program to maintain inventory and man-hour records.
  3. Perform preventative and repair services on facility assets, including conveyor systems, power equipment, industrial batteries, dock equipment, racking, lighting, and HVAC.
  4. Monitor machine systems for proper and safe operation; repair and communicate issues accordingly.
  5. Follow vendor procedures for service, adhering to safety protocols.
  6. Prioritize duties based on impact and business needs.
  7. Comply with lock out / tag out (LOTO) and Arc Flash safety guidelines at all times.

Required Qualifications

Experience: Minimum 1-year experience in a fast-paced industrial or warehouse environment servicing power equipment, including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework or on-the-job training in mechanical, electrical, welding, controls, HVAC, or plumbing preferred.
Certifications: Any trade/technical certifications related to facility maintenance are preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities

Able to read and follow service manuals, schematics, and assembly drawings in print or digital form. Capable of navigating basic computer applications.

Working Conditions

  • Ability to work in environments with temperature extremes, moving equipment, and warehouse conditions.
  • Walking on inclines, wet or slippery surfaces, and using steps or ladders.
  • Varying temperatures, noise levels, and air quality.
  • Use of PPE as required.
  • Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions.
