Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies in Atlanta, GA is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to maintain and repair equipment, buildings and fixtures at the distribution center. You will perform preventative maintenance on lift trucks and hydraulic and electrical systems, and ensure all tasks follow safety policies.

The role requires ability to read documents, solve practical problems and work overtime; a high school diploma or GED plus relevant experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions and manuals.
• Ability to perform basic math and geometry concepts used in maintenance work.
• Ability to apply fractions, percentages and proportions to tasks.
• Willingness to work overtime and all shifts.
• Minimum 18 years of age and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and replace plumbing components.
• Maintain ventilation and roofing systems.
• Repair and maintain dock equipment and racking.
• Inspect and repair hydraulic systems, air compressors and fire systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on lift trucks and related equipment.
• Repair and maintain batteries, tuggers, pallet jacks, and related tools.
• Operate power lift equipment after training.
• Follow safety policies and company procedures.
