Job summary

Kroger is hiring a Maintenance Technician for our Aurora, CO distribution center. You will handle general maintenance across buildings and equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and dock equipment, performing preventive and corrective work to keep operations running smoothly.

You will document data in CMMS, handle diagnostic tools, assist with parts inventory, and help relocate or remodel spaces as needed. A valid driver’s license and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• Basic plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, welding, mechanical and electrical skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical instructions and manuals.
• Skilled with hand tools and power tools.
• Valid driver’s license.
• High school education or equivalent.
• Training in facility maintenance including carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems and dock doors and levelers.
• Repair minor electrical, HVAC, plumbing and dock doors and levelers.
• Enter data into CMMS and monitor equipment process parameters.
• Assist in monitoring inventory of spare parts and tools.
• Operate maintenance diagnostics equipment and measurement tools.
• Diagnose failures and perform repairs to resume operation.
• Communicate effectively with peers and supervisors.
• Ensure cleanliness of equipment, workstations and facility.
• Perform basic carpentry duties as needed.
• Assist in relocating and remodeling offices and break areas.
