Job summary

The Home Depot in Locust Grove, GA is seeking an experienced maintenance technician to oversee, maintain, and repair equipment in a busy warehouse environment. You will troubleshoot electric lift equipment, conveyor systems, and related hydraulic/pneumatic components; perform preventative maintenance; generate equipment status reports; and ensure safety compliance and clean, safe work areas.

Job description

Position Purpose

Oversees, maintains, and repairs equipment as well as other facility structures in a complex, warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

• 50% Troubleshoots and repairs electric lift equipment, conveyor systems, as well as technical, mechanical hydraulic and pheumatic issues where needed. Understands and troubleshoots conveyor operating system logic
• 20% Performs preventative maintenance as well as necessary modifications on electric lift equipment, conveyor systems and buildings.
• 10% Provides equipment status report, including details of unusual maintenance problems.
• 10% Follows all safety guidelines established by manufacturer, Home Depot, or government agencies. Adheres to all safety codes and OSHA standards
• 10% Maintains safe and clean working environment, performing daily cleanup of work areas

Travel Requirements

Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Physical Requirements

Must continuously stand or walk or regularly requires lifting/handling/carrying material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).

Working Conditions

Typically in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes which cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be eighteen years of age or older.

Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
