The primary responsibility is to manage and oversee, with hands-on experience, the repair and maintenance of all building automation, conveyance, building structures, power equipment fleet, DC controls, electrical, HVAC, motors, hydraulics, and general maintenance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee and manage the repair of all DC equipment and machinery, including electrical, power, air, hydraulic, building HVAC, and plumbing systems, to ensure uninterrupted building flow and operational commitments.
- Work with the operational team to ensure all preventive maintenance and repair activities are scheduled to maintain building safety and minimize facility downtime.
- Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors to ensure safety, structural integrity, and mechanical performance meet company quality and safety standards, and that all projects are completed on schedule.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain supply inventory and handle purchasing related to all mechanical, chemical, and industrial parts needed for repairs or preventive maintenance.
- Manage departmental budget and expenditures to ensure spending aligns with fiscal targets, including capital project expenses.
- Track work orders and requests to identify trends, recurring breakdowns, or areas of deficiency.
- Maintain awareness of the facility's WMS and control systems to understand how building flow and operations impact automation and conveyance, and analyze performance against expectations.
- Train others on equipment functionality and guide/lead team members through diagnosis and repairs of machines, conveyance, and automation systems.
