Job description

The primary responsibility is to manage and oversee, with hands-on experience, the repair and maintenance of all building automation, conveyance, building structures, power equipment fleet, DC controls, electrical, HVAC, motors, hydraulics, and general maintenance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Oversee and manage the repair of all DC equipment and machinery, including electrical, power, air, hydraulic, building HVAC, and plumbing systems, to ensure uninterrupted building flow and operational commitments.
  2. Work with the operational team to ensure all preventive maintenance and repair activities are scheduled to maintain building safety and minimize facility downtime.
  3. Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors to ensure safety, structural integrity, and mechanical performance meet company quality and safety standards, and that all projects are completed on schedule.
  4. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory compliance.
  5. Maintain supply inventory and handle purchasing related to all mechanical, chemical, and industrial parts needed for repairs or preventive maintenance.
  6. Manage departmental budget and expenditures to ensure spending aligns with fiscal targets, including capital project expenses.
  7. Track work orders and requests to identify trends, recurring breakdowns, or areas of deficiency.
  8. Maintain awareness of the facility's WMS and control systems to understand how building flow and operations impact automation and conveyance, and analyze performance against expectations.
  9. Train others on equipment functionality and guide/lead team members through diagnosis and repairs of machines, conveyance, and automation systems.
