Job summary

Ollie's Distribution Center is hiring a DC Maintenance Associate for 2nd and 3rd shifts. The role performs general maintenance across the building, fixtures, and equipment, supports housekeeping, and contributes to a safe, efficient distribution operation.

The position requires ability to operate floor scrubbers, pallets, and handling equipment, with a focus on reliability and teamwork in a fast-paced warehouse.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, not required.
• Must operate equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and other material handling gear.
• Ability to work independently and follow safety procedures.
• Willingness to flexible schedule and perform floor care duties.

Responsibilities

• Vacuum, dust, clean, and sanitize all distribution center and office areas.
• Sort recyclables and trash safely.
• Meet minimum productivity standards and document maintenance work.
• Enter maintenance work orders and track via designated system.
• Provide administrative support to Maintenance department.
• Occasional use of hand/power tools and general warehouse upkeep.

Description

Maintenance Associates are members of the Maintenance Department. The Maintenance Department is responsible for all maintenance needs within the Distribution Center. This includes general housekeeping as well as all maintenance performed on the building, fixtures, and/ or equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Vacuum, dust, clean, sanitize all areas of the Distribution Center & Office Areas.
• Safe & Proper sorting of recyclables and trash.
• Meet minimum productivity standards.
• Daily entry of all preventive maintenance performed on building/ equipment as needed.
• Print daily entry of completed preventive maintenance work orders.
• Entry of maintenance work orders into designated tracking system
• Responsible for providing administrative support to the Maintenance department.
• Occasional use of hand and power tools
• General Warehouse Maintenance, including painting.
• Any additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, not required.
• Must be able to operate all equipment necessary to perform the role. This includes but is not limited to pallet jacks, various styles of forklifts, and other Material Handling Equipment as needed.
• Ability to work independently and self-motivated to seek work.
• Ability and willingness to follow material handling equipment safe operating procedures.
• Ability to complete assignments in time allotted.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule (until work is done)
• Ability to operate a Floor Scrubber to perform floor cleanings as needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to push and pull up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to bend and twist frequently.
• Must have ability to move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
