Job summary

GPC Genuine Parts Company is seeking a warehouse associate in Richmond, VA to stage, shrink wrap, and load pallets for shipment. You will balance and arrange orders, operate a pallet jack or forklift, and ensure accuracy across routes while maintaining safe handling of products.

Requirements include a high school diploma or 6 months of equivalent experience, reliability, and the ability to lift up to 60 lbs and push/pull up to 300 lbs with aids.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or 6 months of equivalent work experience.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Regular, reliable, predictable attendance.
• Clear speaking/listening abilities.
• Ability to recognize letters and numbers and remember sequences.
• Basic computer skills (APGJCe).
• Lifts up to 60 lbs.
• Push/pull up to 300 lbs with aids.
• Bend/stoop to shelves; reach eight feet with stool or ladder.
• Enter/exit back of truck with parts on a ramp.
• Stand and walk through shift.

Responsibilities

• Stage products on pallets.
• Shrink wrap to prevent loss.
• Load pallets on trucks.
• Inspect trailers for suitability before loading.
• Ensure correct parts are on the right truck with accuracy and speed.
• Operate pallet jack or forklift as needed.
• Maintain product integrity through proper handling and storage.
• Keep work area clean to prevent accidents.
• Pull stock orders as needed.
• Assist with processing other DC shuttles.
• Follow safety procedures and perform other duties as assigned.
