Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Austin, Texas is seeking a DC Infra Eng III to lead mechanical design and analysis for computing and AI datacenters in the Americas, ensuring compliance with AWS standards and regulations.

You will support site-level mechanical integration, reliability analysis, and capacity planning from concept through operations, and perform CFD modelling and thermal analysis for data center cooling systems.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related field with five years of related experience.
• Experience with HVAC system design and analysis, CFD software, thermal modelling and analysis.
• Knowledge of ASHRAE standards and Building Management systems; thermodynamics and fluid dynamics principles.

Position Responsibilities:

Lead mechanical design and analysis for computing and AI datacenters across Americas ensuring compliance to AWS standards, specifications and regulatory requirements. Support site-level mechanical system integration, reliability analysis and capacity planning from concept through operations. Perform Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modelling and thermal analysis for data center cooling infrastructure.

Position Requirements:

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field and five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Must have five years of experience in the following skill(s):

• experience with HVAC system design and analysis, CFD software, thermal modelling and analysis;
• demonstrated knowledge of ASHRAE standards and guidelines, Building Management system and
• demonstrated knowledge in thermodynamics and fluid dynamics principles.
