Job summary

The Camstoll Group LLC is seeking a full-time, Washington DC-based Research Analyst with open-source research and international affairs experience. This role requires regular in-office attendance 4 days per week.

Reporting to the VP of Research, you will conduct open-source research on foreign affairs, sanctions, export controls, and illicit networks. You will build datasets, identify new sources, and inform client inquiries with analytic insights and risk-focused data.

Qualifications

• Experience with academic or professional research using databases, online resources, and OSINT methods.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in International Relations/Political Science/Economics/Finance or related field.
• Understanding of global sanctions, international regulations, and compliance issues.
• High ethical standards, cultural awareness, and ability to work respectfully in diverse environments.
• Second language fluency (e.g., Russian, Arabic, Persian, Chinese, Korean, Spanish) is a plus.

• Conduct independent investigative research using OSINT methodologies and collaborate with colleagues as needed.
• Develop subject matter expertise on strategic topics and identify new data sources.
• Monitor developments on security issues, regulatory environments, and updates to research.
