Job summary

Texas Instruments is seeking an Equipment Technician to join our team in Texas. You will perform preventative maintenance, equipment repairs, improvements, upgrades, and installation, interfacing with engineering and manufacturing groups across the fab to ensure issues are resolved promptly and safely.

Responsibilities include analyzing data to improve tool performance, coordinating supplier service, and preparing technical reports with recommended solutions.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Willing to work night shift with a weekend shift and holidays.
  • Able to work 12-hour compressed schedule.
  • 2 years of semiconductor technician experience OR 8 years of non-semiconductor/military technician experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Repair, upgrade, and install equipment.
  • Interface with engineering and manufacturing groups to resolve issues.
  • Coordinate supplier service and prepare technical reports with findings and recommendations.

Texas Instruments is looking for a skilled Equipment Technician to join our team. In this role, you will perform preventative maintenance, equipment repairs, equipment improvements, equipment upgrades, and equipment installation. You will interface and communicate with engineering and manufacturing groups across the fab to ensure all issues are solved appropriately and efficiently.

Responsibilities include:
  • Improve system performance to achieve process requirements and eliminate repetitive downs
  • Monitor and analyze all related data to improve and maintain tool performance and address all tool related issues
  • Coordinate supplier service and repairs where needed
  • Prepare the technical report and summary findings and recommending solutions to technical problems
Minimum requirements:
  • High School diploma/GED
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to work night shift that will include one weekend shift and holidays
  • Ability to work 12 hour compressed work schedule
  • One of the following:
  • 2 years of semiconductor experience as Technician OR
  • 8 years of non-semiconductor/military Technician experience
Preferred qualifications:
  • Self-driven with ability to identify and resolve issues to improve equipment performance
  • Good troubleshooting skills on electrical/mechanical systems
  • Excellent organizational, teaming and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
  • Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
  • Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
  • Ability to work effectively in an interrupt-driven, fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationship
