Job description

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead the creation, improvement, and deployment of commercial continuous improvement processes, best practices and tools. Key priority areas are:
    • Funnel Management
    • Key Account Management
    • Selling Skills & Coaching
    • Channel Partner Building
    • Growth Rooms
    • Commercial Engine Annual Assessments and SCR
  • Drive improvement at Operating Companies using the identified tools above. Work with Operating Company sales, marketing and commercial leadership to drive installation and sustainment of results from the use of the processes and tools.
  • Build daily management processes and analytics for commercial teams. Set process, expectations and deploy into the operating companies to establish their rigor around daily management in commercial teams and engagement with cross-functional teams to ensure maximum revenue results from commercial activities.
  • Collaborate on sales effectiveness priorities and initiatives to ensure the commercial engine/system is producing the greatest results for the business. Educate Danaher operating companies on the Commercial Engine Assessment framework and current innovative best practices in sales effectiveness. Provide feedback/guidance on architecting the commercial function and how to maximize/optimize programs and results by incorporating these best practices and processes.
  • Determine metrics to track operating company performance in sales, establish cadence for review, improvement. Be the center of knowledge (brain trust) for sales process, approaches, and best practices, build library of best practices and share across the corporation. Build a strong network and community among sales leaders and associates in the operating companies.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in sales, sales operations & marketing and/or commercial positions,
  • 3+ years of sales leadership – regional GM, business unit sales leadership or company commercial leadership
  • 3+ years’ experience as a DBS practitioner or equivelant
  • Experience influencing others and developing capabilities in others/teams
  • Experience working in global environments, particularly in high growth markets
  • Travel Expectations- 50-70% required

The salary range for this role is $160,000-$225,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
