Job summary

Eightelevengroup is seeking a Database Analyst to support enterprise-wide physical security systems and access control operations from Charlotte, NC in a hybrid role (3 days onsite, Mon-Wed). You will manage badge access, security credentials, and related data across the organization, contributing to migration projects and site expansions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • 1-3 years of experience supporting databases, business applications, or physical security systems.
  • Experience with access control, badging, security monitoring, or physical security management platforms.
  • Familiarity with SQL or other database query languages, with ability to execute SQL scripts and work directly with database records.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and data quality.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently and in a team environment.
  • Experience with AMAG Symmetry, Genetec, PSIM, or similar physical security management systems (preferred).
  • Experience supporting access control operations in a large enterprise environment (preferred).
  • Experience with data migration, data cleansing, or system implementation projects (preferred).
  • Experience maintaining system data quality and performing application-level troubleshooting (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain enterprise access control and physical security systems, including badge access, security credentials, and access permissions.
  • Perform data entry, validation, maintenance, and updates within physical security platforms to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Assist with migration efforts from legacy security systems to new platforms, including data migration and system implementation projects.
  • Onboard additional facility sites into centralized security monitoring systems as the organization expands.
  • Maintain data integrity and quality across security databases and applications, following established best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to access control records, permissions, and system data, including application-level troubleshooting.
  • Execute SQL queries and scripts for data validation, reporting, and migration activities; work directly with database records as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and resolve data issues, support process improvements, and ensure effective communication.
  • Participate in monitoring, maintenance, and support activities for security system databases and applications.
  • Contribute to a small, highly collaborative team environment while also managing independent work tasks and multiple priorities.

Database Analyst (Physical Security Systems)

Charlotte, NC (Hybrid – 3 days onsite, Monday–Wednesday)

$35 - $40 per hour

ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client is seeking a Database Analyst to join their team, supporting enterprise-wide physical security systems and access control operations. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining and supporting security platforms used to manage badge access, security credentials, physical access permissions, and related security data across the organization. You will be instrumental in upcoming system migration initiatives and the continued expansion of security operations to additional sites. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, solving problems, and contributing to critical security infrastructure in a collaborative team environment.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Support and maintain enterprise access control and physical security systems, including badge access, security credentials, and access permissions.
