DBA Accounting Adjunct/Subject Matter Expert (SME) Description

South College seeks passionate candidates interested in teaching in our Doctoral and Masters programs of Accounting within our CBE DBA Program. This role includes a SME position to assist in developing our Masters courses.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Teach doctoral/master’s courses in Accounting for up to 100 students and serve as SME for the Masters in Accounting program.
  • Monitor curricula to ensure compliance with South College standards and accrediting bodies.
  • Participate in course and curriculum evaluations and audits; implement recommendations as needed.
  • Mentor doctoral students individually, helping them demonstrate mastery over competencies through assessments.
  • Respond to all student emails and inquiries within 24 hours.
  • Evaluate and grade assessments within the designated timeframe.
  • Provide detailed qualitative and quantitative feedback on student submissions.
  • Engage in proactive and reactive outreach via email, phone, and video conferencing. Maintaining consistent and direct communication with students is essential for success in this role and for supporting doctoral students at South College.
