Job summary

Business Integra (BI) seeks a DB2 Developer in Columbus, OH to design, develop, and optimize database solutions. The role requires hands-on DB2 development experience, plus Linux/Unix, scripting, and automation in a global environment.

You'll work with MS SQL/Oracle as a plus, contribute to ETL, SOA, and deployment pipelines using Jenkins, Maven, Tomcat, and related tools. The engagement is 6 months to 1 year with potential extension.

Qualifications

DB2 development experience required, not just admin.

Experience with MS SQL or Oracle is a plus.
Expert level UNIX shell scripting and/or Perl for automation.
Clear understanding of database architecture, OS, middleware, and security.
Minimum 10 years' experience in a mission-critical environment.
Relational DBMS and reporting experience.
Analyzing MIS requirements.
Knowledge of Apache, Tomcat, Ant, Maven, Jenkins.
Knowledge of XML, Web Services, SOA.
ETL scripting/tools experience a plus.
Advanced knowledge of table-driven, database-driven apps and pivot tables.
Linux/Unix systems experience.
Ability to work in fast-paced environment and multi-task.
3+ years supporting daily operational environments with daily refresh.
3-5+ years UNIX experience.
3-5+ years SQL experience.
Workload automation tools (Control-M or Autosys) knowledge.
Experience with client/server architecture and deployments to decentralized user groups.
