Job summary

Lincoln County Schools Battleground Elementary is seeking a part-time Tutor (During the Day) to support classroom instruction at Battleground Elementary School in Lincolnton, NC. The role offers 5 hours per day with no benefits, for a temporary period from August 26, 2026 to December 18, 2026.

Under supervision, you will provide one-on-one and small group help, assist with academics and behavioral support, and help maintain student progress and classroom materials.Applicants must meet district

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of effective methods of working with students
• Working knowledge of core subjects at the grade level
• Some knowledge of the school organization and community
• Some knowledge of expected behavior of students and basics of ages/stages
• Skill to operate audiovisual and office equipment
• Ability to create learning aids to strengthen lesson plans
• Ability to follow teacher-designed instructional goals
• Ability to monitor and record student progress

Responsibilities

• Gives group instruction as prescribed by teacher
