Job summary

Adams and Associates, Exeter Job Corps Academy in Exeter, RI, seeks a Residential Advisor for the day shift to supervise and support students aged 16-24 in a safe, structured dorm setting. The role emphasizes student retention, achievement, and a positive living environment, Monday–Friday, 7am–4pm.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; higher degrees preferred.
• Job Corps or related program experience strongly preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability requirements required.
• Physical requirements include lifting up to 40 pounds and mobility.

Responsibilities

• Ensures dorm security during class hours and reports concerns to dorm management.
• Inspects each dorm room and initiates repairs as needed.
• Documents and tracks inspection performance and reports trends to management.
• Maintains inventory and proactively orders supplies to meet department needs.
• Coordinates packing, mailing and tracking of separated students’ belongings.
• Transports students to and from public transportation sites.
• Mentors and models Career Success Standards as required by Job Corps.
• Provides high-quality supervision and management for the student population.
• Takes appropriate action and positively influences student behavior.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

Advanced degrees preferred
