Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital in Florida is seeking an RN in the Rheumatology Unit to provide patient-centered care for inflammatory and autoimmune conditions. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, educate patients and families, and participate in care transitions in ambulatory settings.

This regular PRN role requires RN licensure, ADN/BSN, BLS, and at least one year of RN experience. ACLS preferred within 6 months; prior rheumatology experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in good standing (State of Florida).
• ADN or BSN from an accredited program.
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• Minimum of one year RN experience.
• Internal Cleveland Clinic transfer option from ambulatory/other roles.

Responsibilities

• Assess health status by completing a nursing assessment.
• Perform telephone triage.
• Notify physicians/LIPs of abnormal findings.
• Establish a care plan in collaboration with the patient, family, and health care team.
• Collaborate with care coordinators to ensure smooth and effective transitions of care.
• Assist with specialized diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physician/LIP and monitor patients for response.
• Participate in quality initiatives, process improvements, and research activities to improve patient outcomes, patient experience, and patient safety.
• Maintain professional growth and development in the nursing field and identify annual core competencies.
