Job summary

Lunchtime Solutions Inc. is hiring a Prep Cook/Cashier for the on-site program at the Wabasha-Kellogg School District. This role supports meal preparation, serving students, and maintaining a clean kitchen.

You’ll work Monday through Friday from 6:30am to 1:30pm, with opportunities to train new team members and contribute to a positive school-day environment. You will uphold food safety standards, follow recipes, and use the POS system to handle student transactions and account balances, while

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to follow recipes, measure ingredients, and adapt quantities for larger batches.
• Dependability, integrity, and a commitment to excellent customer service.
• Basic computer skills and comfort using a point-of-sale system.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items by following recipes while ensuring meals are ready for serving times and supporting special diets and events.
• Help keep the kitchen clean and organized, including storage areas, using FIFO practices, and complete HACCP logs and daily production records.
• Maintain food safety and compliance by following food-safety steps and assisting with production records.
• Communicate supply needs, customer feedback, and updates to your team and supervisors.
• Stock and serve items during meal service and assist with prep lists and freezer pulls.
• Jump in where needed, train new team members, and assist when someone is out.
• Operate the Point-of-Sale system to process student transactions and manage balances.
• Follow cash handling procedures and reconcile daily transactions.
• Help create a friendly, welcoming environment for students and staff with excellent customer service.
