Job summary

Point Meadows Surgery Center in Jacksonville, FL, is hiring a Medical Assistant/CNA to support preoperative and postoperative patient care. You will help with admissions, patient positioning, vital signs, and recovery room duties, ensuring safety and comfort throughout the patient journey.

The role offers a Monday–Friday, 40-hour schedule with no nights, weekends, holidays, or on-call commitments, along with a competitive hourly rate and benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program or 3–5 years of patient aide experience preferred.
• CNA I & II certification required; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with admissions and preoperative preparation as directed by the RN.
• Support patient comfort, safety, and mobility within the facility.
• Record vital signs (BP, temp, pulse, respirations) accurately.
• Perform CLIA-waived tests, such as pregnancy and glucose tests.
• Maintain clean, safe patient care areas and assist with recovery room care.
