Job summary

Environment Control Southwest Ohio Incorporated in Columbus is seeking a Daytime Floater for part-time or full-time work close to home. The role involves Day Porter route coverage, deep cleaning tasks, and assisting with training and follow-up on customer requests.

Schedule is typically Monday–Friday, 9am–4pm (35 hours/week). Pay is $15/hour, with 401(k) eligibility after 1 year and 1,000 hours, mileage reimbursement on non-commute miles, paid training, and other perks.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning services or Day Porter operations.
• Ability to perform deep cleaning and disinfecting tasks.
• Assist with supply delivery and inventory.
• Submit daily reports and coordinate with supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Cover Day Porter routes and fill-in cleaning.
• Assist in training new Day Porters.
• Follow up on customer complaints or requests.
• Carry out scheduled daytime cleaning tasks (e.g., bank areas, windows).
• Handle emergency calls and special projects as assigned.
• Assist with supply delivery and inventory management.
• Submit detailed daily reports and report to EC Manager.
• Daily check-in with EC Manager via phone/email/text.

Position: Daytime Floater
Key Tasks:

• Knowledge of all Day Porter routes

• Fill-In Cleaning (Coverage of open accounts / Coverage of Absences)

• Assist in training – New Day Porters

• Assist with Customer Complaint/request follow-up

• Perform special day-time jobs that are scheduled (e.g., Bank Parking Lot Cleaning, Bank Vault Cleaning; ATM Cleaning; Vacant Cleaning; Window Cleaning, Construction Clean Up, etc.) (Orange QC App)

• Emergency Calls

• Deep Clean / Special Disinfecting Service Call

• Assist with Supply delivery and Supply inventory

• Complete Monthly and Quarterly T asks

• Submit detailed daily report – (Daily recap of the events)

• Report to the Designated EC Manager

• Daily check-in with the Designated EC Manager via phone, email, or text

• Other duties may be assigned.

Assigned Area –35 Hours/Week - Columbus
Schedule –Primarily - Monday – Friday – 9a-4p (at times, it might be needed for the shift to start a little earlier or end a little later based on that day’s needs).

Pay/Benefits:

• Pay$15/Hour

• 401(K) Eligible after 1 year and 1,000 hours

• Mileage Reimbursement - $0.17/mile - non-commute mileage will be reimbursed.
