Rarebreed Veterinary Partners in Allentown, PA is seeking a Daytime Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT/LVT/RVT) to join our fast‑paced emergency department. You will triage, assess, and treat critically ill patients, while collaborating with a skilled team to deliver exceptional care.

Qualifications

• Must be credentialed veterinary technician (CVT/LVT/RVT).
• Previous emergency and/or specialty experience preferred.
• Strong nursing skills and critical thinking abilities.
• Ability to stay calm and organized in high‑pressure situations.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Triage and assess emergency patients on presentation.
• Obtain histories and perform nursing assessments.
• Place and maintain IV catheters.
• Collect and process laboratory samples.
• Administer medications, fluids, blood products, and treatments as directed.
• Monitor hospitalized and critical care patients.
• Assist with emergency procedures and stabilization.
• Perform anesthesia monitoring and recovery when needed.
• Maintain accurate medical records.
• Provide compassionate client communication during stressful situations.
• Collaborate with emergency and specialty teams to deliver care.

As we continue to grow, our Emergency Department is expanding. We are looking for an Daytime Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT/LVT/RVT) who thrives in a fast-paced, highly skilled environment and enjoys the challenge of emergency medicine. This position is ideal for a technician who excels under pressure, values teamwork, and is passionate about providing exceptional care to critically ill and injured patients when they need it most.

What You'll Do

• Triage and assess emergency patients upon presentation
• Obtain patient histories and perform nursing assessments
• Place and maintain intravenous catheters
• Collect and process laboratory samples
• Administer medications, fluids, blood products, and treatments as directed
• Monitor hospitalized and critical care patients
• Assist with emergency procedures and stabilization efforts
• Perform anesthesia monitoring and recovery when needed
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
• Provide compassionate communication and support to clients during stressful situations
• Collaborate with emergency and specialty teams to deliver exceptional patient care

Pay Rate: Starting at $26/hour plus shift differential for weekends
