Job summary

Dixie Technical College is seeking a part-time Custodian to maintain classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas. The role reports to the Custodial Supervisor and may involve occasional contact with staff, students, and visitors.

The position offers an evening shift from 11 AM to 3 PM, Monday through Friday, with the possibility of occasional Saturdays. Pay is $18 per hour, and employment requires a criminal background check and drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including doors, stalls, toilets, sinks, mirrors, floors, and dispensers.
• Vacuum and spot clean carpets and rugs, and mop hard floors.
• Complete janitorial cleaning of break rooms, offices, conference rooms, entrances, glass, and drinking fountains.
• Remove trash, restock toiletry supplies and hand soap daily.

PAY AND HOURS:

• Pay: $18 per hour
• Evening shift: 11 AM to 3 PM, Monday through Friday
• The schedule may include an occasional Saturday

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Cleaning and Sanitizing

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including doors, stalls, toilets, sinks, mirrors, floors, and dispensers
• Vacuum and spot clean carpets and rugs, and mop hard floors
• Complete janitorial cleaning of break rooms, offices, conference rooms, entrances, glass, and drinking fountains
• Remove trash, restock toiletry supplies and hand soap daily

Safety and Professional Conduct

• Use and store chemicals safely, following labels and Safety Data Sheets
• Maintain confidentiality and follow Dixie Tech policies and procedures

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb stairs for a full four-hour evening shift
