Job summary

Supreme Fitness Group in New York, NY is seeking a Custodian/Cleaner to maintain the cleanliness of all facility areas and support a positive member experience. Responsibilities include cleaning restrooms, locker rooms, gym floor and equipment, stocking supplies, proper waste disposal, and reporting issues to the Club Manager.

A High School diploma preferred, 18+ years, reliability, and ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Custodial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean and sanitize restrooms, locker rooms, fitness equipment and gym floor.
• Stock locker rooms with proper supplies/paper products.
• Properly dispose of trash and maintain the trash cans.
• Clean high areas (ceiling fans, TVs, rafters).
• Report any broken or missing amenities or equipment to the Club Manager.
• Follow Lost and Found Policy and return lost member property to the Club Manager/Assistant Club Manager.

Job Summary

The Custodian/Cleaner will be responsible for the overall cleanliness of all areas of the facility to ensure a positive member experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean and sanitize restrooms, locker room areas, fitness equipment and gym floor.
• Stock locker rooms with proper supplies/paper products.
• Properly dispose of trash and maintain the trash cans.
• Clean/dust items high off the ground (i.e., ceiling fans, TVs, rafters)
• Report any broken or missing amenities or equipment (Toilets, faucets, showers, hair dryers, gym equipment etc.) to the Club Manager.
• Follow “Lost and Found Policy” and turn in lost member property to the Club Manager/Assistant Club Manager immediately.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Custodial experience is preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Punctuality and reliability is a must.

• Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language.

Physical Demands

• Continual standing and walking during shift.
• Must be able to occasionally lift over 80 pounds.
• Will encounter toxic chemicals.
• Frequent cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and facilities.
• Moving self in different positions, including bending, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, and twisting, to accomplish tasks
