Job summary

Scott Family Amazeum is seeking a Barista/Cafe Associate for daytime, part-time hours. You will provide friendly guest service, prepare food and beverages, operate the cafe POS system, and help with restocking and clean-up to maintain a welcoming space for visitors of all ages.

The role involves rotating through food prep, cashiering, and cafe support duties, supporting opening and closing procedures, and ensuring safety and quality standards in a busy museum cafe environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 16 at time of hire.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Available to work weekdays, at least one weekend day, and some holidays.
• Ability to communicate clearly with guests, team members, and leadership.
• Basic math skills for processing guest transactions.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service for guests, members, caregivers, children, team members, and visitors.
• Operate the café point-of-sale (POS) system and process payments.
• Prepare and assemble café menu items according to recipes and standards.
• Restock service supplies and maintain clean, organized stations.
• Assist with opening/closing procedures and school group visits as needed.
