Do you want to make a difference in someone’s life by providing one-on-one care within the safety of their home? Are you warm, supportive, and experienced in caring for seniors or adults? If yes, Right at Home is hiring caregivers immediately to support clients in Lake and Porter counties, northwest Indiana. Caregivers are essential in helping clients stay independent, at home, and out of high-risk nursing facilities.

We are looking for caregivers interested in and available for two or more shifts per week, preferably 12-hour shifts 2-3 times a week.

Responsibilities include:

  • Companionship: conversation, activities, light housekeeping, errands, transportation, medication reminders
  • Personal Care: assistance with meals, bathing, feeding, toileting, transfers, exercises, grooming
  • Charting and Reporting: communicating concerns and condition changes to the care team to ensure well-being and peace of mind for loved ones

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience caring for seniors or adults
  • Warmth and compassion
  • Good communication and task performance skills
  • Background checks, TB test, drug screening completed
  • Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, reliable transportation

Preferred but not required:

  • No certification needed; pay is higher for licensed CNA, HHA, DSP certifications and experience
