Do you want to make a difference in someone’s life within the safety of their home by providing special one-on-one care? Are you a warm and supportive person experienced in caring for seniors or adults? If yes, Right at Home is hiring caregivers immediately to care for clients within Lake and Porter counties in northwest Indiana. Caregivers are essential service providers supporting clients with activities of daily living. Our main goal is to keep clients independent, at home, and out of high-risk nursing facilities.

We are looking for caregivers interested and available for two or more shifts per week, preferably those willing to work 12-hour shifts 2-3 times a week.

Responsibilities:

• Companionship: provide conversation, activities, light housekeeping, run errands, transport or accompany clients to appointments, and assist with medication reminders.
• Personal Care: assist with preparing meals, bathing, feeding, toileting, transferring, encouraging exercises, and grooming.
• Charting and Reporting: communicate concerns and changes in condition to the care team to ensure clients remain healthy and maintain quality of life, providing peace of mind to loved ones.

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of experience caring for seniors or adults
• Warmth and compassion for those under your care
• Ability to communicate effectively and perform assigned tasks
• Completion of background checks, TB test, and drug screening
• Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation

Preferred but not required:

• No certification required; pay is commensurate for licensed CNA, HHA, and DSP certifications and experience.
