Job summary

TeamHealth seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Doctors Hospital of Augusta hospital medicine program in a daytime role. You will round on patients, coordinate orders, and work closely with an experienced hospitalist team to deliver high-quality inpatient care.

The position offers a stable, collaborative environment with dedicated physician support and a traditional 7-on/7-off block. NP/PA new graduates with strong hospital medicine interest are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Inpatient hospital medicine experience preferred; NP/PA new graduates with a strong hospital medicine interest welcome.
• Experience performing daily rounds and coordinating care with a supervising physician is preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team.

• Conduct daily rounding on inpatient rehab unit patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily rounding on rehab unit patients
• Submit patient orders
• Assess, diagnose, and treat hospitalized patients in collaboration with supervising physicians
• Coordinate care plans and facilitate communication with specialists, nursing staff, patients, and families
• Manage admissions, discharges, and follow-up care as appropriate
• Ensure timely documentation and order entry within the EMR
