Dayforce Scheduling Specialist / Consultant

Location: Remote

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Dayforce Scheduling Specialist to support and optimize workforce scheduling operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Dayforce Workforce Management (WFM) modules, particularly Scheduling, and will work closely with business stakeholders, HR, and operations teams to ensure accurate, efficient, and compliant scheduling practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure, implement, and maintain Dayforce Scheduling functionalities to meet business needs.
  • Analyze staffing requirements, labor rules, and operational demands to build optimized schedules.
  • Monitor schedule adherence, shift changes, and time-off requests within Dayforce.
  • Collaborate with HR and Operations teams to ensure scheduling policies comply with labor laws and union agreements.
  • Troubleshoot scheduling issues, resolve system errors, and liaise with Ceridian/Dayforce support as required.
  • Generate scheduling-related reports and dashboards for management review.
  • Train managers and end-users on scheduling features and best practices.
  • Participate in system upgrades, testing, and process improvement initiatives related to Dayforce Scheduling.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience with Dayforce WFM, with a focus on Scheduling.
  • Strong understanding of labor standards, compliance rules, and workforce optimization strategies.
  • Ability to interpret and configure complex pay and scheduling rules in Dayforce.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication skills for engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in training and user support for scheduling processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with other Dayforce modules (e.g., Time & Attendance, Payroll, Advanced Scheduling).
  • Background in industries with complex scheduling needs (e.g., retail, healthcare, hospitality).
  • Ceridian Dayforce certification in Workforce Management/Scheduling.
