Job summary

Mentoring Alliance After School seeks a Daycare Teacher to foster youth development and lead elementary students in enrichment activities. This part-time role is non-exempt, averaging 17-20 hours per week and runs Monday through Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

during the school calendar year. Ideal candidates are 17+, with a High School Diploma or GED preferred, and must obtain CPR/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• Must be 17 years or older
• High School Diploma or GED preferred; some post-secondary training preferred
• Passion and love for working with elementary kids
• Experience with elementary-age children is preferred
• CPR/First Aid certification is mandatory
• Background/Sex offender check required
• Valid driver’s license or ID
• Legal to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Lead elementary students in enrichment activities after school
• Work Monday–Friday 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. during the school calendar year
• Be a minister of the Gospel as part of the ministry role
• Uphold the Mentoring Alliance faith statement and values

We are seeking ministry-minded individuals to be on our After School team. The Daycare Teacher’s primary role is fostering youth development in an after school setting by leading elementary students in enrichment activities. We are looking for an Daycare Teacher who is devoted to excellence, wholeheartedness, and developing kids to reach their full potential! You have the chance to have an eternal impact and be a role model to kids in your community. A Daycare Teacher is non-exempt, part-time position that average 17-20 hours per week.

At Mentoring Alliance After School, we hire teachers, youth workers, teen workers, college students, mentors and more to serve and develop kids in our programs. As a Christian ministry we are geared toward serving kids and students in our community by offering awesome after school care and activities.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Agree with and exhibit behaviors in accordance with the Mentoring Alliance Statement of Faith
• Must be at least 17 years of age; High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred and some post‑secondary training highly preferred
• Have a passion and love for working with elementary school‑aged children
• Experience working with elementary school‑aged children is preferred
• Able to work Monday - Friday 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. during the school calendar year
• Ability to earn CPR/First Aid certification (mandatory)
• Pass Mandatory Background/Sex offender check
• Valid driver’s license or Valid ID
• Legally allowed to work in the United States
• Have dependable transportation
• Spanish-speaking ability greatly valued
