About the Position:

At Primrose School of NW Oklahoma City, located at 6101 NW 139th Street Oklahoma City, OK 73142, you will help young minds explore, discover, and understand the world around them.

We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to implement an ongoing program of activities that promote the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child, in accordance with the Primrose Balanced Learning approach to teaching and learning. NO EXPERIENCE?! NO PROBLEM! We will provide all the training you need! You don't need a degree or certification; we will help you obtain all the proper training and credentials!

Primary Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage the daily classroom activities of a group of children.
• Observe all rules and regulations at Primrose School of NW Oklahoma City and comply with local, state, or national regulatory agencies regarding health, safety, and child care.
• Maintain an attractive, well-kept classroom environment that encourages children to create, explore, and make decisions confidently.
• Provide verbal recognition and acceptance to children while setting clear and consistent behavioral expectations.
• Take responsibility for maintaining cleanliness and organization of the classroom, common areas, and playgrounds.
• Attend all required staff meetings, workshops, and school functions.
• Maintain a professional personal appearance following the guidelines in the Primrose School of NW Oklahoma City Employee Handbook.
• Assist in other duties as determined necessary by the Director or designee.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Meet the basic requirements of the local child care regulatory agency.
• Previous experience in teaching or assistant teaching in a licensed early childhood program is preferred.
• Knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. for child safety, program facilitation, and emergency situations. For Infant and Toddler teachers, ability to properly lift infants into and out of cribs.
