Arizona Head Start provides early education for children birth to 3 years old, with parent involvement and family support, plus comprehensive health and nutrition education. The Lead Teacher is responsible for planning, assessing, and instructing based on each child's needs and program requirements. We seek change makers who are curious, inventive, and open-hearted to prepare children for Kindergarten and beyond.

As a Lead Teacher, you’ll:

• Create! Develop engaging, fun learning experiences and mentor fellow teachers.
• Care! Promote social, physical, and intellectual growth of children in your class.
• Lead! Manage classroom activities, curriculum implementation, and ensure compliance with licensing, company standards, and Head Start requirements.

We are looking for energetic, dependable, passionate individuals who are at least 18 and have:

• An Associate’s Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or CDA in Infant/Toddler.
• Experience leading a classroom and creating lesson plans.
• The ability to meet state and center education requirements.
• The ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
