MERS Missouri Goodwill is seeking a Day Care Assistant Teacher to join our Columbia Daycare team. The role supports our mission, “Changing Lives Through the Power of Work,” and upholds our values of diversity, integrity, passion, professionalism, respect, and responsibility.

The position is hourly and part-time, with an emphasis on creating a safe, nurturing environment and facilitating developmentally appropriate activities for children.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• 6 months of experience as an assistant teacher in daycare or school setting.
• Knowledge of basic child needs and sensitivities.

Responsabilités

• Develop and implement lesson plans.
• Follow State Regulations and company policies.
• Create a positive environment for children.
• Assist with development and measurement of individualized goals.
• Greet parents and provide information.
• Engage children in indoor and outdoor play.
• Maintain classroom schedule and organization.
• Complete opening, nap time and closing procedures daily.
• Other duties as assigned.
