Job description

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and energetic Daycare Assistant Teacher to join our home daycare team! You will be responsible for encouraging children’s intellectual, psychological, and physical growth. The ideal candidate is nurturing, patient, and creative. If you have a passion for helping children learn and reach their potential, we want to hear from you!

Job Shifts: Monday-Friday: 1pm - 5:40pm

Responsibilities:

1. Maintain communication on Brightwheel with families and staff about children's day.
2. Design daily and weekly activities that are developmentally appropriate.
3. Prepare and serve snacks and meals.
4. Provide basic care and caregiving activities.
5. Evaluate children to ensure they are reaching developmental milestones.
6. Communicate with parents and update them on their children’s activities.
7. Weekly disinfecting and daily cleaning of the house after children use.
8. Complete 20 hours of annual continuing education training.

Qualifications:

1. Previous experience as a daycare teacher or childcare provider.
2. Strong understanding of child development.
3. Patient, kind, and nurturing.
4. Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
5. First aid/CPR certified (preferred).
6. Must be at least 18 years old.
