Job summary

Sugar Bear Day Care Inc. is seeking an experienced Daycare Assistant Teacher for an afternoon shift in our New York home daycare setting. You will work Monday through Friday, 1:00pm to 6:00pm, providing care and fostering a safe, engaging environment for young children.

The role involves communicating with families, following daily routines, and supporting children’s development through structured activities. Experience in childcare and a nurturing demeanor are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a daycare teacher or childcare provider.
• Strong understanding of child development.
• Patient, kind, and nurturing.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
• First aid/CPR certified (prefer).
• 18 years old.

• Maintain communication on Procare with families and staff of children's day.
• Follow daily and weekly cleaning charts.
• Cook and serve snacks and Dinner.
• Provide basic care and caregiving activities.
• Communicate with parents and update them on their children's activities.
• Maintain daily schedule for children in care.
• Annual training 20 hours continuing education.

Monday-Friday: 1:00pm - 6:00pm (must be able to work 5 days a week)
