Little Lana Daycare in Jamaica, NY is seeking a warm, caring Daycare Assistant to support infants and young children in a nurturing, safe environment. You will assist with daily routines, supervise activities, and help maintain a clean classroom while collaborating with lead teachers.

Ideal candidates have a passion for early childhood development, strong communication skills, and patience. CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain is preferred, and a HS diploma or CDA credential is

Formación

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• CDA credential is a plus.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities and learning exercises.
• Assist with daily routines including meals, nap time, and personal hygiene.
• Support lead teachers in implementing structured early childhood education programs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom and play environment.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding children's daily progress.
• Monitor children's behavior and apply positive reinforcement techniques.
• Assist with diapering, potty training, and other childcare needs as required.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom and play environment
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding children's daily progress
• Monitor children's behavior and apply positive reinforcement techniques
• Assist with diapering, potty training, and other childcare needs as required

Requirements:

• Prior experience in childcare, daycare, or early childhood education preferred
• Genuine passion for working with infants, toddlers, and young children
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain patience, compassion, and professionalism at all times
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Child Development Associate (CDA) credential a plus
• Must pass a background check in accordance with New York State childcare regulations
