Future Opening: Day Time Memory Care Caregiver

Description: This position provides custodial and personal care services to clients under the direction of the Staffing Coordinator, in compliance with the Plan of Care.

Education: High School Diploma/GED required

Qualifications: One (1) year experience in home or long-term care preferred.

Reports to: Staffing Coordinator

Primary Duties:

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment within the client’s residence, including light cleaning, straightening areas, washing dishes or laundry, and other safety-related tasks.
  • Perform personal care activities as outlined in the Plan of Care, such as assisting with hygiene, ambulation, eating, dressing, shaving, and transfers.
  • Provide nutritional support as needed.
  • Report changes in the client’s condition.
  • Assist with devices for daily living (wheelchair, walker, Hoyer lift), prescribed exercises, and household routines.
  • Measure and record intake/output, temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure.
  • Keep records of care activities and observe behavioral changes, reporting them to the supervisor.
  • Remind and assist clients with medication self-administration, maintaining proper records.
  • Follow infection control policies per CDC guidelines and all agency policies and procedures.

Hours: Varies based on assignment; shifts available 24/7, but hours are not guaranteed.

FLSA Status: Non-exempt, hourly
