Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital in St. Johnsbury, VT is seeking a Day Surgery RN to provide high-quality perioperative care for patients undergoing surgical and procedural interventions in both pre-operative and Phase II recovery settings.

You will work in a fast-paced perioperative environment, collaborating with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe patient flow from admission through discharge while focusing on patient experience, safety, and

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved RN School of Nursing.
• Current Vermont or multi-state RN license required.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
• ACLS required (or ability to obtain during orientation).
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience preferred in ambulatory surgery, perioperative, or acute care.

Responsabilités

• Deliver pre-operative care including assessment, preparation, and patient education.
• Post-anesthesia Phase II recovery and discharge readiness evaluation.
• Monitor patient condition and communicate changes to providers for safe, timely care.
• Review diagnostic results, provide discharge instructions and follow-up guidance.
• Collaborate with surgical, anesthesia, and perioperative teams to optimize patient flow and operations.
