Corporation for Public Management (CPM) is seeking a compassionate Day Support Specialist to help individuals build meaningful skills, relationships, and greater independence. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. with full-time and part-time opportunities.

The role emphasizes person-centered support, initiative, clear communication, and safety. You’ll engage participants in activities, document ISP progress, and transport them between locations to support community participation.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Knowledge of Connecticut DDS systems preferred.
• DDS Medication Certification, First Aid, CPR, and PMT certifications must be obtained within six months of hire and maintained throughout employment.
• Experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with patience and compassion.

• Teach, assist, and supervise individuals during activities, employment opportunities, and skill-building exercises.
• Plan community outings and provide individuals with multiple activity options.
• Assist with personal care while maintaining dignity, privacy, and safety.
• Support individuals in achieving goals identified in their Individual Support Plans.
• Accurately document ISP objectives, attendance, behavioral data, participation, and progress.
• Maintain organized and current case records.
• Report behavioral, medical, or routine changes to the supervisor or team.
• Safely transport individuals between residential locations, community activities, and work sites.
• Maintain vehicle logs and ensure assigned vehicles are clean and safe.
• Report vehicle damage or maintenance needs promptly.
• Perform additional duties assigned by the Program Coordinator.
