Your daily impact:

As our next Street Sweeper,you'llbe at the heart of our mission—delivering essential services that help improve public safetyandenhance environmental quality. In this role,you’lltake ownership of assigned routes,drive the street sweeper,andoperatespecializedequipment tokeep streetscleanand well-maintained.

  • Safety & Inspection:Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipmentin accordance withcompany standards. Ensure all safety features are operational before beginningroute.
  • Execution:Review assigned routes thoroughly prior to departure. Be proactive in asking clarifying questions if the route or expectations are unclear. Complete assigned jobs within the allottedtimeframewhilemaintainingexpected quality and attention to detail.
  • Equipment Operation:Operateequipment safely and efficiently at all times, following all traffic laws, company safety procedures, and site-specific protocols. Exerciseadditionalcaution during inclement weather or challenging site conditions.
  • Material Handling:Handle materials safely and securely; Apply correct procedures for material types and disposal sites.
  • Reporting:Report any equipment issues, malfunctions, near misses, crashes, or injuries within 30 minutes or as soonas safelypossible. Immediately elevate opportunities, work issues, or safety concerns to management.
  • Professional Communication:Maintaina professional attitude and appearance whilerepresentingthe company on job sites or in public areas. Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients when needed.
  • Compliance & Documentation:Accurately complete required logs, manifests, and forms.
  • Adaptability & Problem Solving:Respond appropriately to changes and challenges;identifyand solveissues timely.
  • Regular & Predictable Attendance:The ability to consistently report to work on time and as scheduled, with minimal unexcused absences. This includes being present and prepared to work throughout assigned shifts, and reliably adhering to start times, breaks, and end times.
Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Education:High School or GED
  • Experience:1yearDOT driving experience –waste &recyclingservicesexperiencepreferred
  • License:CDL-B & DOT Medical Card
  • Age:Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Compliance:Mustmaintainan acceptable driving record and successfully pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) check, background check, and drug screeningin accordance withCompany policy and applicable law.

PhysicalRequirements:

Physical requirements outline the essential on-the-job demands needed to perform the role safely and effectively.

  • Work Environment & Exposure:Constant work outdoors with regular exposure to weather, elements, and traffic; occasional exposure to loud noise, dust/debris, and jarring conditions; limited exposure to chemicals.
  • Physical Demands:Frequent sitting and walking/standing; occasional bending, twisting, squatting, kneeling, pushing/pulling; limited stair climbing and crawling; ability to lift and carry up to 50lbsat varying heights, including overhead.
