Job summary

From unloading trucks and rotating product to assisting customers and keeping the store tidy, your work has a direct impact on the shopping experience our customers count on.If you enjoy staying active, take pride in doing things right, and like being part of a team that keeps things running smoothly, this could be a great fit for you.**What You’ll Do**No two shifts are exactly the same, but here’s what you can expect:* Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly and helping them find what they need throughout the store* Assist customers with finding products, reaching items, carrying heavy purchases, and passing along any feedback or requests to the team* Unload trucks, open containers, stock shelves, run overstock on risers, and rotate product to ensure freshness* Monitor for mis-picked items, product outs, and wrong deliveries, and report issues accordingly* Organize stock for greatest efficiency and clean and restock any damaged items* Tag shelves with overstock in the back room and understock drawers* Report new or different items to the scanning coordinator for system input* Operate the register for customer purchases as needed* Stock supplies including cigarettes, front-end sacks, and department supplies* Assist with outside maintenance including shoveling snow, spreading ice melt, and returning carts* Help with cleaning throughout the store including registers, restrooms, breakroom, and backroom* Train new day stockers on job duties as needed* Maintain compliance with Hy-Vee’s dress code, hygiene standards, and all company policies* Assist in other store areas and take on special projects as needed* You’ll receive direction and support from: District Store Director, Store Manager, Assistant Managers of Health Wellness Home, Perishables, and Store Operations, Day Stock Manager, and Service Managers**Your Skills**You don’t need extensive experience for this role!
