Job summary

Axalta Coating Systems in Houston, TX is hiring a Warehouse Operator to receive, store, and distribute products in a controlled environment. The role is scheduled 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, with interviewing by the Hiring Manager from 9:00am to 11:00am.

A high school diploma and the ability to pass a background check and drug test are required. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in a warehouse setting, with forklift experience preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Experience with material handling equipment.
• At least 1 year forklift driving experience.
• At least 1 year in a warehouse or distribution environment.

Responsibilities

• Reads orders to determine items to be moved, gathered and distributed.
• Assist in training of trainees and temporaries on safe duties.
• Performs operator maintenance as necessary.
• Prepare and match appropriate records and/or documents.
• Assist in accounting for all materials received with proper documentation.
• Assist in filling outbound shipments with proper documentation.
• Maintain upkeep on warehouse equipment.
• Convey materials between receiving, production and storage areas.
• Arrange materials on racks and shelves according to size or product code.
• Backfill for Warehouse Lead and coordinate with Shipping Coordinator.
• Cycle counting and coordination of yearly inventory may be required.
