Job summary

PPG Industries, Inc. is seeking an immediately available Material Handler in the Atlanta area to join our 1st shift team. Starting pay is $22.12 per hour, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, and optional training on the 1st shift from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM at times.

The position requires working in Kennesaw, GA with Delta Airport access being pending. You will perform warehouse functions including receiving, storing, and distributing materials, operating a forklift, and ensuring

Qualifications

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the day.
Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

Work will be in warehouse doing functions such as: receiving, storing, and distributing material, tools, equipment, and products within establishments.
Loads and unloads product to and from delivery vehicles and designated storage areas.
Reads production schedule, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.
Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to a predetermined sequence, such as: size, type, style, color, or product code.
Operates gas or electric powered forklift truck to move, stack, load or unload materials, parts, finished goods, etc.
May load/unload trucks; may use a Hi-Rise to load items in storage racks.
